Welcome to the all new Australian Sun and Health!
| We really are an all new magazine; we’re not affiliated in any way with previous publications and acquired the name after the original business became defunct. Our aim is to republish the magazine, capturing the style and essence of the original whilst addressing the issues related to reliability, timeliness, quality and delivery. Australian Sun and Health was an icon amongst naturists. It enjoyed the success of 85 issues spanning more than 20 years but lets face it, the old magazine had some problems long before the final issue. You can expect the new Australian Sun and Health to be on time, every time. We guarantee it!
Commencing at issue 1, the new Australian Sun and Health will focus on the naturist lifestyle in Australia. It will have predominantly Australian content and will take on a more modern look and feel. In each issue we will report on news and events relevant to the naturist lifestyle; we will explore the issues affecting naturists in Australia; and we will present reviews and articles on our life-style that will hopefully be of interest to you as part of the Australian naturist community. |

You’ll see some familiar faces; Bob Reed, well known amongst naturists, Bob has spent many years campaigning to legalise free beaches and is a frequently seen face at most naturist events in New South Wales and throughout Australia. Jo Mullholland, a regular contributor to the original Sun and Health over the years, Jo recently played a pivotal role in the establishment of the Naturist Lifestyle Party in Australia. Les Hotchkin, owner and editor of the original Australian Sun and Health, Les and his wife Jan created Sun & Health as a newsletter and built it into an international magazine. You’ll also see me, Sarah Scriven. Previously Features Editor of the old Sun and Health, I assisted in creating each issue from no. 65 right up until the last one. I’m back in a new role as Editor and I promise to produce an enjoyable, quality magazine that is available when you expect it.
In issue no. 1 we will report on the June long weekend at River Island Nature Retreat, the World Naked Bike Ride, The Naturist Lifestyle Party, Running of the Nudes, events at both Armonds Beach and Alexandria Bay and much more! There will be the first of what will become regular fea-tures including profiles of locations you may like to visit, naked news from around the world and a regular column from Bob Reed.
Naturism is our lifestyle. When it’s cold we might need a jumper, when we go to work most of us need to wear clothes, but we are still naturists whether naked or clothed. It’s not a part-time hobby; it’s a lifestyle and one that we intend to promote through every edition of this magazine. This is your magazine and we want you to feel part of it. Whether you'd like to write an article, send in a photo, a letter to the editor or just say hi, you can send it to contributions@ozsh.com.au. We’d love to hear from you.
Welcome to the NEW Australian Sun and Health!
